WP plugin: Moderation Reminder
January 1st, 2007 Posted in blogging, codeMy blog is sofar not very busy, and even less comment-wise. WordPress has the nice feature to send you an email about new comments you still need to moderate, but personally i like to keep my blog and my mail somewhat seperate.
Until recently, i had to remember checking for new comments by explicitly going to the admininterface. Since i’m not always very good at remembering stuff comments could be awaiting moderation for days 
To solve this ‘problem’ i came up with the idea to display a sidebar item to users with sufficient rights to remind them of these waiting comments. Other users - including visitors - just see your sidebar as it was before, as will moderators if nothing needs to be done.
