Very early easter preparations
February 27th, 2007 Posted in creativityLast friday Fem suggested we could do some easter-compatible creativity-action. We bought a bunch of plastic eggs (emptying real ones while keeping them whole enough to paint is tedious && a lot of work) plus some special paint that floats on water. The actual painting process was rather easy:
- put paint on water,
- slowly immerse egg (which has been put on a stick for easy handling),
- wait a bit (this seemed to help prevent paint running back over the egg),
- quickly pull the egg out and let dry,
- done \o/
We added some swirls by stirring the paint and expirimented with different dipping techniques (rotating the egg while putting it in etc). Below is an impression of the result. Prettyness yes?

Hihi tnx, it’s quite fun to do too. Maybe we’ll experiment with ‘dipping’ other objects sometime soon: we put in a piece of paper after the last egg which Fem intends to make into a pagekeeper (? boekenlegger)
