Tons o’life

It’s been quiet here for a while, but that doesn’t mean nothing has happened since my last post. A quick catch-up list:

• On May 9th we went to the vet for Elmo & Tijger’s yearly vaccination, and Izzie’s first one. Kittens have to have a second shot within a few weeks so we’ll have to go again soon.
• On the 18th we went to Groningen to see the Joe Jackson concert together with H’s parents. It was a very cool concert, only it was a bit of a pity there were no standing-places available, so no room for dancing. We heard quite some up-tempo old songs as well as some new work which will be recorded after this tour. I’m looking forward to hearing this new album
• I bought a new digital camera I had been on the lookout for a while and now have come across a good offer including a spare battery. More portable picture-taking-device w00tness. Also very nice: a few days later i found out that i had gotten money back from pre-payments on utilities for my previous house, so the cam-spending didn’t even set me back financially!
• On June 3rd i went to see Tori Amos in the HMH, together with Habbie, Faragon, Janneke, fusix, macTijn, Kislany, Rodecker and foobar. Personally i wasn’t entirely sure whether i’d like the concert when Tori started with the first few songs, but then she changed her outfit and everything she played afterwards was really nice. • Friday Izzie had her second vaccination plus RFID-like-implant, which will make finding out where she lives much easier in case she ever gets into a lost&found situation. Over the last few weeks she’s doubled her size, going from 0.65kg to 1.3kg. You can really see her grow overnight: sometimes she gets a bit ‘out of shape’ when her legs grow faster than her body or the other way around
• Just now we’ve come home from Wiebel’s party I’ve taken quite some pictures in the spirit of “ooh new cam, must try ‘n stuff!” which i’ll upload when i’ve slept
