Liessa is actually a -not particularly nice- character from the first Discworld book by Terry Pratchett, The Colour of Magic. The combination of lacking a nick at that time, loving the book, and liking the name led to me adapting it.
My actual first name is Marloes and I am currently 26 years of age. Me, my two cats and two guinea pigs have moved to Amsterdam almost two years ago (september ‘06) where my boyfriend and I finally got ourselves an Actual Home(tm). Since, we have gotten ourselves a third kitty to further enhance the cozyness. We are still not fully unpacked and ofcourse the redecorating process has remained unfinished sofar, but I must say being together in one home is very much worth the trouble of dragging your stuff to another location 
For the last 4 years my main activity has been studying. I do still have some loose ends to tie up, but for the moment I’ve made settling in at my job my top priority.
Apart from work and study I spend quite some time at home: browsing and talking to weird people whom I call friends on IRC, inviting friends over to play boardgames, or just petting cats & guinnea pigs while watching series on TV, reading and sometimes crea-stuff like sewing or knitting (which I’m not particularly good at, but it’s still fun to do ). Outside activities include visiting or meeting friends (giefv summer for park-picknics with wine \o/) and attending a party every once in a while.
